While watching this episode (another splendid one as usual) I found myself thinking ”Hmm, maybe I ought to suggest using a scale of 1-10 instead of 1-5 so as to avoid all these poor beers getting 3s” but then I figured what the hell, that’s just nitpickery and the scale is effectively 1-10 what with the half points anyway. So I’ll just say that I’ve bought a Hoegaarden today at bolaget after seeing it in the last episode! Don’t have much experience with wheat beers so I’m a little bit excited. A teensy bit.
@Anton – Thanks for the feedback It’s always difficult to rate a beer on any kind of scale IMO. My scale of 1-5 is merely an indication of what I think of the beer but I’d always encourage people to pop a bottle open themselves and try it out for themselves. Great to hear you’re giving wheat a whirl again. Let me know what you think of it!
