Danish Beer Festival in Malmö starts today

If you’re anywhere near Malmö right now wondering what’s going on in the beer scene across that short stretch of water in Denmark then for the next four days you don’t need to leave this country to find out.

No need to cross the water to try some Danish beer right now.

That’s because today (Monday 17th) is the first day of the Danish Beer Festival at the Green Lion Inn in Malmö, where an impressive 25 Danish microbrews will be available on tap and around another 60 in bottles until Thursday May 20th, including beers from two Danish breweries new to these shores.

Here’s a complete list of the beers available to try. To make things even easier the pub is offering a ‘tasting package’ of 3 x 15cl samples for 90 – 100 SEK. Representatives from some of the Danish breweries on the list will be visiting the pub over the course of the next few days to meet drinkers and answer questions and if you’re hungry there’s even a special Danish-themed menu being served.

Full details can be found here. Sounds like a lot of fun and well done to the Green Lion Inn for hosting such a great idea!
