@maltJerry – good thinking buying as many THAs as possible, as a little bird told me unless something happens soon it looks like this release could be the last one ever at the Systembolaget.

Paradox all gone in Lund by 6 Nov. Despite/Because of/Nothing to do with the CAMRA hoo-hah.
THA considerably reduced – Not least by me How come it’s the 2005 vintage (anyone?).
FV 2009 is drier and hoppier than I remember.

@Mark: Totally agree. Paradox Isle of Arran is a more ‘integrated’ whisky beer, whereas I didn’t get Belhaven/Green King’s attempts at all.

Paradox Arran = yummy! I’ll have to buy a few more for the ”cellar” (cupboard). A very pronounced smokey whisky flavour, very different to Innis and Gunn.

Hi Mark,
Managed to try both the Paradox Isle of Arran and the Paradox Smokehead at Det Goda Köket. Can say that the Smokehead was massive, with a huge whiskey hit on the nose and in the mouth. By comparison the Ise of Arran was a lot more ‘balanced’ and very smooth. It’s an impressive beer and I’ll be doing a full review when I get back to base in Umeå.
