At this very moment I am sitting in the departure lounge of Umeå Airport (when I imagine what purgatory would be like it would pretty much be this – waiting to board a plane that never comes. That or having to sit for eternity in a pub that only sells Cheap Thrills on draft). I’m just minutes away from getting on a plane that will take me to Stockholm and to perhaps one of the most important beery meetings I’ve ever had.

I can’t reveal yet exactly what I’m up to but should things go the right way my ambition to get beer noticed by the mainstream media will have taken a huge step in the right direction later on this afternoon. I promise to update you the minute I know more!

Until then it’s ‘that time of the month again’ for a caboodle of new beers to be released at the monopoly and this time it’s two for the price of one with the release of eight summer beers and a smaller release of six more ‘exclusive’ beers at the posh shops in Stockholm, Malmö and Gothenburg.

The summer beers will (hopefully like the summer itself) be around for a few months so there’s really no rush but the exclusive beers typically sell out very quickly so my advice would be to buy or order them today to avoid disappointment. Which ones? Why all of them of course
