This is something I’ve been meaning to do for some time now but it’s one of those projects that’s just so huge and scary you constantly think of any excuse not to start it.

My aim with this ‘ultimate guide’ is simple – to compile the most comprehensive and up-to-date Google map of the best places to enjoy great beer in Sweden available anywhere on the Internet.

My hope is that this will become a valuable resource for visitors to this country who want tips from fellow beer enthusiasts on where to drink as well as an encouragement for those of us living here in Sweden to try somewhere different once in a while and spread the beery love around a little.

I’ve kicked things off with 24 pub reviews in and around the Stockholm area and will be adding more every week. I’m personally been to nearly all these places and the few I haven’t yet visited I’ve lifted the details of from an extremely handy pub guide published by the Swedish Beer Consumers Association. I’ve also created a new category tab to this blog so that the map is always easy to find.

But here’s where things get really interesting. I’ve granted open access to this map so if you have a Google account you can actually go in and add your own recommendations! So please please help me and help the beer pubs and bars we all love to support by adding to this guide whenever you can. All I ask is that you write in English (don’t worry too much about grammar and spelling – I never do) and that you give an honest account of your experiences.

Together we can help put great beer on the map in Sweden!
