The BeerSweden Forum is now open! Visit us and start talking beer at
www.beerswedenforum.se
Right now at exactly 12 noon today BeerSweden launches BeerSweden Forum – the biggest and best forum site in Sweden for beer fans to hang out, rant, review, discuss, debate and discover stuff about the world’s greatest drink!
The Forum is an extension of this blog that I started back in 2009 and that has quickly grown to become one of the most visited sites for beer enthusiasts in Sweden. However unlike the beer blog Swedish is the language of choice in the forum, although there is a special English language-only section for international visitors.
There’s no doubt in my mind that the BeerSweden community is the most loyal, active and engaged group of Swedish beer fans anywhere on the Internet.
Sometime however posting comments on this blog or BeerSweden’s Facebook page isn’t quite enough. I’ve noticed people sometimes want to explore a subject in more depth, get feedback from other members of the BeerSweden community or simply want to let off a bit of steam.
The new forum is designed for those times.
The forum features a number of specialised categories including ‘ÖlPrat’, ‘Öl & Mat’ and ‘The Beervine’ that intends to break all the latest news from the beer scene in Sweden. Other exciting new features will be rolled out over the coming weeks.
In addition the site features a calendar listing beer-related events in Sweden that is constantly updated the members themselves and a chat function where members can talk directly with one another.
I’ve been lucky to recruit some of the most engaged and beer savvy moderators in Sweden whose role it will be to offer advice, point members in the right direction and generally ensure things stay on topic. Daniel, Manker and GoSatta (go check them out – they don’t bite!) have been a huge part of setting the forum up over the past few weeks and I’d like to take this opportunity to publicly thank them for making all this possible.
The BeerSweden Forum is your place to go to talk with fellow beer enthusiasts, bump into a brewer or just hang out and perhaps discover something about beer you never knew. Its success will ultimately be decided by you, so please drop by, register (and spend a couple of minutes updating your profile so we all know who you are) and start posting! Remember the more you post the higher your ranking becomes. Drop by often and you’ll be a Beer Guru in no time!
The new BeerSweden Forum can be found at www.beerswedenforum.se. See you in there!
Darren
